FAQs

Lashes

  • A consultation is required beforehand if you have never had extensions or a lash lift. During the consultation we will discuss what style best suits you, aftercare, your natural lash health etc and will do a patch test. Here we can see if either extensions or a lash lift is better for you.

  • My priority in lash extensions/lifts is your natural lash health. If I see that your lashes are damaged/weak, I will not be adding anything to them. When lashes are properly placed and properly taken care of by you, the lashes should not be damaged. Once removed, your lashes should look the same as before.

  • A lash lift appointment typically takes around an hour and lash exteriors take about 2-3 hours, depending on the style you desire. When you book an appointment, the confirmation email will say how long the appointment will be. We do recommend you come in comfortable clothing, bring a jacket or even a blanket, and be ready to relax!

  • In order to maintain the extensions looking full and neat a fill is required every 2-3 weeks. Fills do take less time and cost less than a full set. A lash lift typically lasts 6-8 weeks.

Waxing:

  • For better results, it is typically recommended that you stop shaving 3-4 weeks before your waxing appointment. If the hair is too short, it may be a bit more painful and we may not be able to get all the hair.

  • Of course! It is safe to wax while pregnant but you will be a bit more sensitive than normal. Some clients like to take some Tylenol beforehand but it is recommended you talk to your doctor first.

  • Yes, many people get waxed while on their period. You do have to wear either a tampon or menstrual cup during the appointment. Due to the hormones, some clients are a bit more sensitive and they like to take some Tylenol beforehand.

  • Absolutely! Most people actually start waxing because of a vacation. If it’s your first time waxing, we do recommend you wax a month prior to your vacation and then again a week before your vacation. The second time will get you better, cleaner results for the vacation and less sensitivity. However, we do understand you may only want to get waxed once, if that’s the case, it’s recommended you get waxed one week prior to your vacation.

  • Yes, after waxing your skin will be a bit sensitive which is completely normal. For your comfort we do advise that during the first 24hrs after waxing, you should not be going to the beach/pool, saunas, exercising, having sex, or picking at the skin.

“My favorite thing about Jas is that she is really genuine and cares about your natural eyelashes. My eyelashes are still intact and I forget that I have a hybrid set because of how light it feels. I highly recommend Jasmine!”
